by the end of 12th century – the surrounding areas belong to the king and are guarded by the royal guards,
1199 - Mogilany become private ownership - prince Leszek Biały gives Mogilany to his friend Goworek, the voiovode of Sandomierz,
1231 – after death of Gaworek, his wife Miłosława gave Mogilany to Teodor Gryfit, the voiovode of Cracow,
1243 – the Cistercians become the owners of Mogilany for 136 years!,
1560 – by way of exchange of territories the ownership of Mogilany is transferred from the Cistercians to the voiovode of Sandomierz and the castellan of Cracow, Wawrzyniec Spytek Jordan, who, enchanted by the location of Mogilany, builts a magnificent, wooden manor house on the top of the Mogilany hill, surrounded by a garden and a park with a beautiful view. As a patron of science and literature he receives in his Mogilany estate such prominent guests as Mikołaj Rej, Stanisław Orzechowski and many other renowned people from the period of the Polish Renaissance,
XVI-XVIII – through family relationships and inheritances the ownership of Mogilany is transferred to the Zborowski and Borek family, and then back to the Jordan family,
1761 – by way of pledge Mogilany is taken from the Jordan family and given successively to magnate families: Potocki, Lubomirski, Massalski, Taszycki, Tarło,
1802-1939 - Mogilany is owned by the Konopka family, specially important for the region and for the village,
1945 - Mogilany become the ownership of the local authorities (gmina),
Today - the palace functions as a conference centre and together with the park is managed by the Polish Academy of Sciences.
